Behind the Business

Although HB Lettering Co. (now The Sunshine Kind) was officially established in late 2019, I have been creating art for people as a side hustle since 2016 after a lady from church asked me to letter a canvas for her. 

I've had a creative mind my whole life. I remember the countless hours I spent in my room or outside trying to draw anything and everything that caught my eye. It's been a dream to create a business where I get to use my creativity. I pray one day The Sunshine Kind will kindle into a storefront where everyone can come and experience all the summer vibes in person.

As a brand, we value authenticity, warmth, and community, striving to offer exceptional service and a personalized experience in every interaction. We’re proud to give back by tithing 10% of our monthly revenue to our local church, allowing our business to make a meaningful impact beyond the products we sell. 

Meet the Owner

I'm Hannah, the owner and artist behind The Sunshine Kind. I love summer and everything about it: beach days, sunshine, warm weather, longer days, etc...

I graduated with my finance degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2022 (best day ever, let's be real) and now I run The Sunshine Kind as well as a second business, Tidewater Studio, from home.

When I'm not "in the office", you can find me relaxing at the beach, exploring new places, photographing anything and everything in nature, sunset chasing, reading a good book, and spending time with friends and family!
